TERA's Autumn Season Opens Today — and What's Left Running on Every Approved Server
TERA Starscape's Halloween event opens on 2 October and its fall festivals run into late November, Arborea Reborn is still shipping hotfixes toward Patch 3.0, and the reported Krafton notice still hangs over Classic+.

Autumn Opens on the PvE Side
October 2 is the first day of TERA Starscape's Halloween event. The server's own event calendar lists the Halloween Event as running from 2 October to 1 December 2026, alongside the Rootstock & Pond Faire Festivals, which its calendar shows running from 7 September through 30 November. That is two overlapping seasonal events on one server, and it makes TERA Starscape the busiest of the four TERA servers listed on GameListZone this week.
The shape of Starscape's Halloween run is documented on the server's Halloween event page from a previous year: Ellonia, the Halloween guide placed in Highwatch near the solo dungeon NPCs, teleports players to Eldritch Academy and the event shop; the Harvest Festival Hall is a three-person dungeon that pays out event currency; and the shop stocks costumes, accessories, mounts and special items, with the calendar itself handing out a different Halloween goodie each day. Starscape's listing here carries a trust score of 28 and flags for PvE and dungeons, and it is currently second in the site's TERA trending ranking.
Worth knowing if you are returning after a break: the old TERA Classic site's news index now carries a notice headed "The End of TERA Classic — Thank you for the memories". That chapter closed as Classic+ opened.
Arborea Reborn Is Still Shipping
The trend leader, Arborea Reborn, is not standing still. Its patch changelog for major patch 2.0 shows a v2.1.6 hotfix dated 13 September 2026 with a list of fixed issues, and a developer log from 11 August 2026 is unusually candid: that patch had been delayed by burnout, the team said it was back at near full speed, and work on Patch 3.0 was planned to start right after the release of Patch 2.1. If you are judging a server by whether problems get fixed, a hotfix arriving inside the month it was promised is a real signal.
Arborea Reborn carries the highest trust score in the TERA listing at 29, tied with Classic+, and it holds the top spot in the trending ranking. Its version is Classic and its flags cover PvE, PvP, custom content and dungeons — the broadest feature set of the four.
Asura Keeps Its Own Rhythm
TERA Asura is the custom PvP option: a server based on update 100.02 with non-target combat, all races and classes, and flags for PvP, PvE, custom content and dungeons. It has the longest track record of the group and a trust score of 27, and it sits third in the trending ranking.
What it does not have, as far as its own news index shows, is a fall event. The most recent entry visible on the TERA: Asura news page is a client patch dated 25 July 2026, which covers fixed resources, typos and rewards. That is not a complaint — a server can be running a perfectly healthy endgame on a quiet news feed — but if you are picking a home for October specifically because you want seasonal content to chase, Asura is the one of the four with nothing dated this autumn published to point to.
The Open Question Still Hanging Over Classic+
TERA Europe Classic+ opened its European server on 21 August 2026. That much is not in dispute. What followed is where the reporting gets thin, and it is worth stating exactly what has been claimed rather than what has been confirmed.
The thread that pushed the story into the open is on r/MMORPG, titled "Tera Classic+ already has to shut down its servers after just a month". A TERA community account on X carries the quote attributed to the server's team: "we received an official notice from Krafton requesting that we discontinue operation of the server and remove all use of TERA's intellectual property". A French-language post from late September said Classic+ would "very probably" close on the Tuesday — which would place any closure around 29 September.
The server's statistics page still shows figures "Updated 29 Sept 2026, 15:03 UTC," and the same page was still being surfaced by search two days ago. This post will not tell you whether the server is up right now, because that cannot be established from the sources above. What can be said plainly: a cease and desist has been reported in multiple places, the wording of the reported notice asks for a shutdown within a week, and no official statement resolving it has surfaced. If you were considering starting fresh there, that is the context to weigh.
What Each Server Is Best For Right Now
| Server | Version | Flags | Trust | Trending |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Arborea Reborn | Classic | PvE, PvP, custom, dungeons | 29 | 1st |
| TERA Starscape | — | PvE, dungeons | 28 | 2nd |
| TERA Asura | update 100.02 | PvP, PvE, custom, dungeons | 27 | 3rd |
| TERA Europe Classic+ | Classic | PvE, PvP, dungeons | 29 | 4th |
None of the four carries a VIP placement — all four are listed as VIP level NONE, which means none is paying for position.
Read the table by what you actually want to do this month:
- Seasonal content now: Starscape. Halloween from 2 October to 1 December, Rootstock and Pond Faire to 30 November, and a PvE-and-dungeons feature set that matches the event design. Free premium elite benefits are part of its pitch.
- A server actively patching a rebuilt classic: Arborea Reborn. Custom dungeons and rebalanced classes on a Classic ruleset, the top trending score, and a documented hotfix inside the last month.
- Custom PvP: Asura. The update 100.02 base and non-target combat, with a long-running community behind it, though no autumn event published.
- Classic+ specifically: Classic+ has the Classic ruleset with PvE, PvP and dungeons at a 29 trust score, but it is the only one of the four whose status is genuinely uncertain this week.
One practical note on the version column: only two of the four listings carry a version tag — Classic for both Arborea Reborn and Classic+ — while Starscape's listing does not name one at all and Asura's is described in its own listing text as based on update 100.02. If a version number matters to you, that is information a server has chosen to publish or not, and it is worth asking about before you invest time.
The TERA news section tracks all four servers as their situations develop, and the best-servers page holds the live rankings. The scene's centre of gravity has moved more than once this year; the autumn calendar is the first clear picture of where it has settled.
