How to Connect to Ragnarok Online Private Servers
Follow these steps to get started playing on Ragnarok Online private servers. Whether you are new or returning, this guide will walk you through the process.
Download the client
Get the full client from the server website or download a clean kRO client and apply the server patch on top of it.
Apply the server patch
Extract the server patch into your RO folder. This modifies sclientinfo.xml to connect to the correct server and may include custom content.
Create an account
Register on the server website or via the in-game registration screen if the server supports it.
Launch and connect
Run the server launcher or ragexe.exe. Log in, select the server, and create your character.
Configuration File
The key configuration file you need to modify is: sclientinfo.xml
Getting the Client
