Episode 45 "Sinis & Dexa" Is Cabal's Big PvP Update — What That Means for Players Picking a Server

Cabal's Episode 45 "Sinis & Dexa" is described as the biggest PvP-focused update in a while; here's how that reshapes the choice of server for players who live for Mission War and arena combat.

Episode 45 "Sinis & Dexa" Is Cabal's Big PvP Update — Where PvP Players Should Look Next

If you keep an eye on Cabal patch news, you've probably seen the same thing I have this month: the official service has moved on from Episode 44 "Abandoned Sector Zero" to what the community patch-tracking blog Mr. Wormy describes as the biggest update for PvP-related content in a good while. That's Episode 45, "Sinis & Dexa" — also written "Sinis & Dex" in places — and by Mr. Wormy's account the episode leans hard into PvP systems rather than the story-and-dungeon additions that dominated the last few episodes.

The official side has been busy too. PlayThisGame's Cabal Online news page shows a recent Saints Forcecalibur refill event, with a winner named for the NA server, and the EU service is pushing limited-time Level 200 characters out of the item shop. None of that changes how the game plays, but it is a reminder that the live service is still being actively run alongside the private-server scene — which makes Episode 45's PvP angle a good moment to think about where you actually want to fight.

Why an episode about PvP reshapes the server choice

Episode 44 was the "Abandoned Sector Zero" story chapter, so a lot of players spent the last few months thinking about PvE progression and dungeons. If Episode 45 really is the biggest PvP-focused update in a while, as Mr. Wormy frames it, the players who care about that news are the ones who want open-world combat, Mission War, and arena fights to be the point of the game — not the side content.

That distinction matters more in the private-server world than almost anywhere else. Private servers don't track the live episode timeline uniformly. On GameListZone, the Cabal Online section lists 28 approved servers across a wide spread of versions — from EP8 and EP16, through EP20 and EP25+, up to Classic — and a range of flags covering PvP, PvE, Mission War, TG/Dungeon, Custom, plus every rate tier from Low to High. A player chasing a fresh Episode-45-style PvP experience and a player chasing a pure progression server are looking at entirely different servers, and the top of the directory skews PvP.

The PvP-forward servers on the board

Every one of the current top-listed servers carries the PvP flag, which is a useful signal if Episode 45's PvP emphasis is what drew you in. Three of them advertise themselves by episode number in the name, pointing at EP33-era content:

If you're set on a later-episode feel, those three are your immediate PvP candidates at the top of the list. If the episode number matters less than the combat style, the rest of the top eight are all PvP-flagged too: CABAL HEIST, ATLACEAN, Twenture, Fdsafdsa, and Cabal ONE.

A couple of honest caveats before you commit to any of them. None of these servers has built a trust score yet, and their VIP level is listed as none — which, on a directory like this, means they are newly listed and largely unproven. A PvP flag tells you the server is oriented that way, but it doesn't tell you how healthy the population is, how well the balance holds up, or whether the staff keeps the combat systems maintained. Treat the top of the list as the place to start investigating, not as a verdict.

Version landscape is the real differentiator

The PvP flag is one thing; the version landscape is the bigger fork in the road. If your goal is to approximate where the live service is heading with Episode 45, the EP25+ tier is the closest thing on the board to current content, and the three EP33-named servers sit even further along in name if not in confirmed version. If your goal is a tighter, more classic Cabal combat feel — the kind where Mission War and small-scale fights are the whole show — the Classic, EP8, and EP16 tiers are where the PvP servers there tend to live, with older, slower combat that rewards a different skill set.

That's why the rate tier matters too. A Low Rate PvP server makes every kill and every piece of gear meaningful over months; a High Rate one lets you hit the fighting fast but compresses the progression that often keeps a PvP scene alive. There's no correct answer, but there is a correct question to ask yourself first: do you want to build up to the fights, or just get to the fights?

What to actually check before you roll

The Episode 45 news is a good prompt, but it's not a reason to skip homework. On any of these servers, look at:

  • The version claim. A PvP flag plus "EP33" in the name is a pitch, not a promise. Confirm what content is actually running before you trust the number.
  • Mission War availability. If Episode 45's PvP emphasis is what you want, make sure the server actually runs the PvP modes you intend to play, and at what times. A server can call itself PvP and have quiet scheduled wars.
  • Population and community. None of these have trust scores yet, so check the community hubs and see whether the servers people actually talk about match the ones at the top of the directory.
  • Rate tier vs. your time. High Rate gets you to the combat faster; Low Rate keeps the journey longer. Pick the one that matches how you actually play.

The Cabal Online section is the place to keep comparing — it carries 28 approved servers, all linkable, across every version and flag combination the game has. If Episode 45 "Sinis & Dexa" really is the PvP shot in the arm the patch trackers say it is, the private-server scene usually follows that energy within a few months. The servers that lean into combat today are the ones worth watching.

About Cabal Online Private Servers

Cabal Online is a fast-paced action MMORPG by ESTsoft featuring a distinctive combo-based combat system that rewards skilled execution with powerful Combo Art chains and rising battle ranks. Players climb from Novice through Apprentice, Regular, Expert, A-Grade, and all the way up to Transcender, unlocking increasingly powerful abilities and prestige along the way. Mission War is the signature PvP mode, pitting the Capella and Procyon factions in large-scale battles for map control and honor points. Private servers offer classic episode versions with adjusted rates, custom dungeons, and competitive PvP without the pay-to-win elements that plague official servers. When selecting a Cabal Online private server, consider the episode version for content breadth, how combo difficulty is tuned, PvP and Mission War balance between factions, server rates, and the activity level of the endgame raiding and PvP communities.
