Ghostz MMOs just posted "Fim do WoW Ascension e server privado de Ragnarok 3" — in plain terms, the end of the WoW Ascension project and word on a private Ragnarok server. I am not going to recap it as my own text; watch it for the announcement itself, and judge it for yourself.

The part that matters to us as players is not the specific news. It is the rhythm of the scene. A private server is not permanent by nature. A team burns out, a licensing problem lands, or the work just stops, and one day thousands of accounts are a memory. The players are not the memory.
