The middle ground everyone knows: 8.6

No version looms larger over Open Tibia than 8.6. For years it was the de facto standard of the whole OTS community — the build most private servers were based on — and it still claims a huge, stubborn player base. It's newer than the 7.x era so the UI and gameplay feel recognizably modern, but it predates the later systems that many players feel diluted the game.

Cyleria.pl is the 8.60 representative here, and it has two selling points that stand out. First, it's a dedicated 8.60 server — not a hybrid, not a compromise — so if you know you miss that specific era, this is the one built around it. Second, and more unusual, it's built for both PC and mobile, which is a genuine consideration if you want to hunt from a phone as much as from a desktop. Cyleria also ties the top trust score at 14 and carries an OT flag with an active-feeling listing. If you grew up on 8.6 — and a large fraction of the private-server audience did — this is the natural home.

The modern frontier: 10.x to 13.x

The other end of the scene is a completely different game. 10.x, 12.x and 13.x servers run progressively closer to today's official Tibia: modern spell behavior, updated maps and hunting grounds, revamped quest lines, and the deeper, longer endgame.
